CSR Declaration & Policy

AcBel has a defined sustainable management policy and has compiled a CSR handbook based on the sustainability policy. The handbook is to be followed by everyone at AcBel and our supplier partners (including manufacturers, distributors, outsourcing, and contractors) as well.

AcBel has been awarded the SA 8000 certification by Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS), which covers a global social accountability, labor rights and labor health and safety. AcBel maintain certification by going beyond simple compliance to integrate the standard into their management systems and practices. For external aspects, it strengthen the corporate citizenship and the brand awareness, increase the customer confidence; internally, it helps human resource recruiting, retaining, performance enhancing and the management of supply chain.

Human Rights Policy, Labor Policy

We do not engage in discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, or age. Employees respect and trust each other as they would a member of their own family. Employees do not just work for the family, but also share in the honors and work to build a future together. To this end, AcBel actively works to foster a friendly workplace that respects human rights and is free from discrimination, workplace harassment, and bullying. Regular internal audits are used by AcBel to assess the risk of human rights violations. Management systems are also used to ensure that the human rights at each operating site are protected 100%.

The issue of child labor is also a key audit item of RBA and attracts special attention from AcBel. Apart from explicitly banning the use of child labor in all policies and procedures, applicants are also rigorously screened during the hiring process to eliminate any misuse of child labor.

AcBel provides response channels for grievances as well including the complaints mailbox, suggestion box, and whistleblower mailbox. These protect employees' right to be heard and the right to legal action. Designated personnel are assigned to deal with all complaints.

AcBel insist on zero-defect quality of all the green power products, promise to cause no pollution and no occupational accidents; create comfortable and high quality living environment, convert the environmental responsibility policy into the fuel for long-term operation.

In the management system, we continuously keep the effective operation of ISO14001. AcBel also considers the environmental aspects of how we design, engineer and manufacture products, ensuring that materials and processes are safe and adhere to industry standards and initiatives such as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment regulation) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives, and successfully obtained the IECQ-QC080000 certificate, Sony GP certificate. Our product design will be required to comply with EU directives and aimed at enhancing power supply efficiency, and was awarded “Energy Star” certificate. Currently, we have working on non-halogen product and manufacturing process, in certain models we have completely introduce non-halogen green power products.

Energy Management Policy

AcBel's environmental responsibilities is in pursuit of improving energy efficiency and cutting energy cost to promise energy efficiency consumption and greenhouse gas emission reduction goals can be attained. To satisfy customer's sustainability requirement and create a clean energy environment, AcBel drew up it's own energy policy and completed energy resource management system planning and introduction to obtain ISO 50001 certificate.

GHG Declaration

AcBel began conducting GHG inventories in 2009 with third-party verification and certification. The establishment of GHG inventory technologies, procedures and systems set the foundations for GHG emission management. AcBel strives to achieve emission reduction targets to help create a sustainable environment.

Security Policy

In addition to product quality, responsible care, environmental protection, and waste disposal, AcBel actively implements supply chain safety management. In 2012, the company passed the "Authorized Economic Operators" certificate implemented by Taiwan Customs Administration and ISO28000 international standard certification to ensure that the operation process and transportation process meet safety standards.

With the operation of AEO and ISO28000, it will ensure the safety and integrity of the trade with customers or suppliers, and thus provide a cargo security guarantee for the global supply chain. The supply chain safety management policy is based on the company's business philosophy and promises to provide customers with high-quality products and services that comply with relevant regulations and standards. The supply chain safety management policy is the highest guiding principle for the company's supply chain safety management, and it is also the company's strongest commitment to supply chain security.

Public Acknowledgement of RBA

AcBel Polytech Inc. (AcBel) has become one of the leading developers, manufactures and sellers of power management solutions in the world and our solutions are applied to the products of a number of industry leaders. By taking “honesty and trust” as ultimate guidelines to all conducts, AcBel fully support the vision and goals of the RBA (formerly EICC).

AcBel joined RBA in 2010 as a member and signed the declaration in support of RBA regulations. The company's global production bases all follow RBA's vision and goals. All suppliers are required to follow RBA requirements as well.

The Code of Conduct of RBA centers on the principles which all business activities shall comply with the laws, legislation and regulations in the country where the company is based at. The Code of Conduct is in line with UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, in which many regulations are referred from critical international human rights standards, including ILO’s Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

External Organization Participation

Under the global trend of "net-zero carbon emissions," AcBel, as a company preliminarily focused on the design and manufacturing of power supply, expects to carry out the inf luence on overal l value chains and seek new opportunities in the process of low-carbon transformation. AcBel have been actively participating in various public associations, domestic and international initiatives and other non-profit organizations with a view to facilitating more active exchange and discussion on topics including corporate sustainability, technology innovation, supply chain management, industry-academia cooperation, and social culture for building a comprehensive cooperative relationship and accumulating the company's capacity for sustainable development. Specifically, in the year 2021, AcBel participated in a total of 36 domestic and foreign trade associations, industry associations and alliance organizations.
